Touch-Screen

The high-end T65 compact machine supports you with its modern 5.7” (145 mm) touchscreen controller at the highest performance level. This modern form of machine operation, which has already proven itself a thousand times over in practical use, not only provides easy handling of the machine but also supports you in calculating the workpiece dimensions and adjustment of the fences. This reduces setup times and the work becomes much, much more comfortable. The user interface was developed in close cooperation between industrial graphic designers, users and MARTIN. The operating logic is geared towards the needs of the woodworker and the icons on the touch screen are self-explanatory and can therefore be learned intuitively. The starting point for operation of the machine is always the so-called HOME page of the controller. Here, you obtain a quick overview of all the important settings such as cutting height and angle, as well as the current position values of the various fences.

Sliding table

The MARTIN steel guide system, which has been continuously optimised since 1959, is used as a sliding table guide in our sliding table saws. The unbeatable advantage of the system is the absence of play owing to the functional principle combined with the permanent smooth and easy movement of the table. The fact that the tempered running surfaces are permanently lubricated with oil is a particular quality characteristic. Dust and dirt are thereby prevented from sticking permanently to the sliding surfaces and the movement of the table provides constant self-cleaning. Another important quality characteristic is that plastic parts are dispensed with in this component, which is so important for the cutting quality. The replaceable table lip – unique to MARTIN – easily enables the damage caused by large deflected saw blades to be “undone”. The table can be arrested every 20 mm. You thereby fix the table exactly in the position which is appropriate for you at the moment. No matter if you are working with jigs or applying material, the table is always positioned exactly where it is required.

Rip fence guide

The rip fence of the T65 can be easily manually moved and set very accurately thanks to the precise fine adjustment. The design deliberately dispenses with a simple round rod guide. Instead, the fence is sophisticatedly and precisely guided via four heavy-duty grooved ball-bearings, and the jaw moves freely over the table without support. If large panels have to be cut, the rip fence can be removed from the carriage in no time at all. The optional hand wheel enables the cutting dimension to be set from the operating position over the full cutting width.

Hand wheel for positioning the rip fence

The optional hand wheel adjustment allows you to control the rip fence of the T65 comfortably from the operating position – entirely without electronic control. The easy-to-read travelling digital display enables precise settings to a tenth of a millimetre to be made over the complete cutting width. The fence is also locked down and released from the operating position.

Changing the rotational speed

Changing the rotational speed is amazingly easy in all T65 machines. It is comfortably carried out from above through an opening in the machine table. An infinitely variable speed adjustment is available as an option.

Composite frame

The machine frame of the T65 is a sturdy and thick-walled composite structure whose design can only be found with this degree of technical perfection in MARTIN machines.
Otto Martin invented this method of construction in the 1920s and had it registered as a design patent back then. Today, after 90 years of continual improvement, Martin still uses this simple and effective principle of frame construction. The intelligent combination of steel and concrete creates a high quality machine frame which is unparalleled when it comes to stability, absorbing capacity and torsion resistance. The vibrations which occur in any saw are absorbed many times more effectively than in cast-iron or even welded frames. This frame is the perfect basis for perfect work!

Controls and Features

Cross-cut fence

Fine adjustment is regarded as an indispensable quality feature of a good cross-cut fence by experienced woodworkers. The cutting dimension often only has to be altered by just a small amount, which is almost impossible without fine adjustment. It is all the better that both stop elements of the cross-cut fence on a T60A are provided with a magnifier and fine adjustment. The cross-cut fence also stands out because of the smooth operation of the fence carriages. Both stop elements run on high-quality linear bearings made of wear-resistant high-performance polymer and can be used over the entire length of the fence jaw. The cross-cut fence can be used in either the front or rear position of the cross-cut table with just a simple movement and no need for lifting. The tilting angle can be infinitely adjusted up to 50° in either position according to a scale. The corrected cutting dimension is conveniently and precisely calculated for any desired angle by the controller.

Scoring saw unit

A scorer enables the tear-free cutting of laminated boards. Two different versions are available for the T65. Both units can be turned on and off and positioned electrically, while the lifting and lowering is provided pneumatically. The 2-axis system adjusts its left/right positioning fully automatically in relation to the right-hand cutting edge of the main saw. You specify the scoring height electronically. The two positions are stored for the particular saw blade. You adjust the scoring width, i.e. the position for the left edge of the main saw, with the machine at standstill, as in the case of all conventional systems.
The patented MARTIN 3-axis system offers you the maximum comfort and pinpoint accuracy owing to its complete integration in the controller. The integration system has been registered for a patent. The system is referenced once and subsequently adjusts all three axes fully automatically to the new saw blade, e.g. after a change of the main saw. All axes – scoring height, scoring position and scoring width – are positioned with electronic monitoring without further intervention. This offers you the key advantage that all the settings of the scorer relevant for the quality of cut are directly linked to the respective main saw and are always automatically applied quickly and precisely. Time-consuming sample cuts are almost completely dispensed with.

SafeLight

If the scorer is running, the light integrated in the table insert draws the operator’s attention to the operating situation. MARTIN thereby provides the user with a considerable increase in safety.

Cross-cut table

The sturdy cross-cut table is part of the basic equipment of the T60A saw. The cross-cut fence can be used in either the front or rear position of the cross-cut table with just a simple movement. The large angle scale integrated in the table allows precise mitre cuts between 0° and 50° to be executed by simply turning the cross-cut fence.

Mitre cross-cut table

Otto Martin invented the mitre cross-cut table more than 50 years ago to enable operators to make precise angle cuts on larger panels. This popular accessory has been steadily improved and optimised since that time. Whereas a scale was all that was required to set mitre cuts in 1958, the latest table includes a modern digital angle display and a fine angle adjustment. The fence can be tilted on both sides to any angle up to 47°, and the angle is displayed with a resolution of 0.01°. A strong central lock ensures reliable repeatability of the correct angle. It is not without good reason that more than three quarters of all the customers who buy MARTIN sliding table saws opt for the sturdiness, functionality and precision of this impressive invention.

2-point cross-cut fence

As an option, you have the possibility of equipping the T65 with the tried-and-tested Martin 2-point cross-cut fence, so that the workpiece can be aligned at two points. Only in this way can slightly convex first cuts, perhaps caused by stresses in the board, also be precisely cut at an angle. Cutting lengths of 190 – 2020 mm can be set quickly and extremely accurately thanks to the scale, which can be easily read with the integrated magnifier, and the standard fine adjustment for the inner stop element. The quick clamp enables you to change the ball-raced stop element quickly from dimension to dimension and cut lengths up to 3310 mm with the extendable outboard stop.
If you prefer to work with digitally exact dimensions, the digital cross-cut fence (photo) is the right option: The inner and outer stop work with separate measuring devices and can therefore be independently set with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre. Each display can be changed over to display relative dimensions, in order to execute incremental cuts quickly, for example.

Cross-cut fence with full-length support

As an option, you can also equip the T65 with the heavy-duty cross-cut fence with flip stops and full-length support. In contrast to the standard version, this version has a heavy-duty construction. As in the case of a 2-point alignment, the inner stop element with fine adjustment and scale magnifier can be precisely adjusted. The quick clamp of the stop element supports quick dimension change between 205 and 2020 mm, whereas lengths up to 3310 mm can be set with the extendable outboard stop.
The fence provides the highest dimensional accuracy in the digital version (photo). Two easy-to-read LCD displays work independently of each other and the display is accurate to 0.1 mm. Incremental settings are also possible and incremental dimensions can therefore be processed very quickly.

”RadioCompens” mitre cut system

The innovative ”RadioCompens” mitre cut system extends the capabilities of the mitre cross-cut table to a considerable extent. Thanks to the wireless-supported communication of the cross-cut table, controller and stop elements, time-consuming setup times for mitre cuts are reduced by up to 80 %. You simply set the table to the desired angle and the electronic cutting length displays on the cross-cut fence immediately show you the corrected length dimension. In contrast to other systems in the market, “RadioCompens” compensates for a variety of saw blade thicknesses by itself fully automatically. As a result, you always have a precision cut with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre also on the left-hand side of the saw blade – irrespective of the saw blade you are currently using.

MitreX

The analogue or digital fence is characterised by a high setting precision thanks to a large angle scale and the supplementary digital angle display. The mitres can be cut from two sides. Apart from a precise mitre cut, an exact length on the workpiece is also required in most application cases. A length compensation was therefore provided for ten preferred angles (0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, 22,5°, 30°, 45°, 50°, 60° and 67.5°). The fences can be used on alternating sides and permit cutting lengths from 90 – 1,375 mm.
An excellent feature of the MitreX is the utility model-protected tear-out prevention block, which guarantees tear-free cuts. It is also just as useful for cutting after marking out. The one-handed clamping means that attachment to the sliding table is simplicity itself. The fence is very stable but nevertheless lightweight and is supplied with a wall bracket.

Clamping and sawing system

The clamping and sawing system for sliding table saws is designed for the ergonomic, safe and efficient cutting of workpieces. The new system is an effective guard which can be installed and adjusted in no time without the need for tools. When sawing oblique, short, narrow and wedge-shaped workpieces of different sizes, the health and safety regulations are often disregarded based on the assumption that it is quicker that way. The new guard for sliding table saws puts an end to the excuses as it makes the safe option impressively quick without the need for tools or any significant loss of time. The clamping and sawing system is available in a standard and a comfort version. A storage board for wall mounting which is suitable for both versions ensures that each individual component of this workplace protection device is always in the right place and quickly to hand.

Second support

The optional second support supports you in the true sense of the word. It is easily attached to the sliding table and simplifies the cutting-to-size of larger boards to a considerable extent. The workpieces are securely supported by the 600 mm long support and can therefore be perfectly cut.
Enhanced by the “rip fence” option, the support becomes a perfect rip fence which assists you e.g. in trimming work.

ON/OFF on the sliding table

The optional switching device for switching the main and scoring saw on and off enables you to start the machine and safely switch it off from any point of the sliding table. It can be positioned without the need for any tools and offers you the maximum degree of flexibility. For example, large boards can be positioned first of all, and the machine is then comfortably started from the operating position – wherever it may be located.

Edging device

The trimming of veneered or laminated boards is just one area of application of the optional edging device. This accessory is simply pushed onto the circular saw fence. It can also be used as a substitute for the laser for cutting-to-size after marking out.

Motorised sliding table

The motorised sliding table impresses as a result of its even feed, which ensures perfect cutting results and reduces complicated rework on the workpiece. Thick solid wood, plywood or chipboard and special materials such as plastics or non-ferrous metal plates can also be safely sawn with ease thanks to this powerful aid. Extension of the system with a
pneumatic pressure bar, the VacuSlide vacuum clamping device or a pneumatic clamp is ideal here.

Cross-cut table
This sturdy cross-cut table is light in spite of its size of 1,340 x 650 mm and forms part of the basic equipment of all saws. It can be attached over the complete length of the sliding table. The clamping is comfortably provided with one hand. The roller facilitates the mounting and removal of larger workpieces and prevents damage to the surface and edges. A large angle scale enables precise mitre cuts between 0° and 50° through simple turning of the cross-cut fence. The fixed angle gauge is precisely incorporated in the table in a single work step and facilitates the quick cutting of standard angles (0°/22.5°/30°/45°).
Standard cross-cut table 1,340 x 650 mm
The mitre cross-cut table from MARTIN has set standards in flexibility for more than 50 years. No matter whether you wish to execute precise mitre cuts with a high accuracy of fit in large boards or process small beads, the mitre cross-cut table always provides perfect support just where you need it. You use a handle to undo the sturdy 0° arresting device and adjust the table in the range of ± 46° according to the LCD display. Owing to the utility model-protected 3-piece swing arm, neither a moving extension arm construction nor a stationary arm above the table have any negative effects. The distance between the cross-cut fence and saw blade which arises in angle adjustments, e.g. when processing thin beads, was often problematic. To change the angle, the operator simply pushes the cross-cut fence against the stop created by the ParaGlider, so that work is always carried out with a minimum distance between the cross-cut fence and saw blade.

The support can be infinitely variably extended up to 750 mm, with a roller to protect the workpiece.
Extendable support for standard cross cut table
If you work with cutting lengths > 3.7 m, you have to support the cross-cut table directly on the floor with a roller support. The roller support replaces the support arm of the machine. The roller support cannot be combined with the mitre cross-cut table. Several cross-cut tables with roller support can also be combined on one machine for processing large, heavy materials.
Roller support for standard cross-cut table
The support can be infinitely variably extended up to 750 mm, with a roller to protect the workpiece.
Extendable support for mitre cross-cut table
You obtain an additional standard cross-cut table for your machine with this option. A roller support is required for use as a supplementary table and for machines without a tilting arm.
Additional standard cross-cut table 1,340 x 650 mm
If you work with cutting lengths > 3.7 m, you generally have to support the cross-cut table directly on the floor with a roller support instead of using the support arm. The roller support is also required if an additional cross-cut table is to be used on the machine, e.g. for processing large heavy boards. Several cross-cut tables with roller support can also be combined on one machine for processing large, heavy materials. The roller support cannot be combined with the mitre cross-cut table.

Cross-cut fence
Fine adjustment is regarded as an indispensable quality feature of a good cross-cut fence by experienced woodworkers. The cutting dimension often only has to be altered by just a small amount, which is almost impossible without fine adjustment. It is all the better that both stop elements are provided with a magnifier and fine adjustment.
Cross-cut fence with full-length support
The dimension display on this cross-cut fence with 2-point alignment is provided in analogue form, i.e. using a scale. In contrast to the version with full-length support, the workpiece rests on two points in this fence. Only in this way can slightly concave first cuts, perhaps caused by stresses in the board, also be precisely cut at an angle. Cutting lengths of 190 - 2020 mm can be set quickly and extremely accurately thanks to the scale, which can be easily read with the magnifier, and the standard fine adjustment for the inner stop element. The quick clamp enables you to change the ball-raced stop element quickly from dimension to dimension and cut lengths up to 3310 mm with the extendable outboard stop. If you prefer to work with digital exact dimensions, the digital cross-cut fence is the right option: The inner and outer stop work with separate measuring devices and can therefore be set independently with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre. Each display can be changed over to display relative dimensions, in order to execute incremental cuts quickly, for example.
Analogue cross-cut fence with 2-point alignment
The dimension display on this cross-cut fence with 2-point alignment is provided digitally, i.e. using electronic displays. In contrast to the version with full-length support, the workpiece rests on two points in this fence. Only in this way can slightly concave first cuts, perhaps caused by stresses in the board, also be precisely cut at an angle. Cutting lengths of 190 - 2020 mm can be set quickly and extremely accurately thanks to the clearly legible digital displays and the standard fine adjustment for the inner stop element. The quick clamp enables you to change the ball-raced stop element quickly from dimension to dimension and cut lengths up to 3310 mm with the extendable outboard stop. The digital cross-cut fence is always the right option: The inner and outer stop work with separate measuring devices and can therefore be set independently with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre. Each display can be changed over to display relative dimensions, in order to execute incremental cuts quickly, for example.
Digital cross-cut fence with 2-point alignment
The dimension display on this cross-cut fence with full-length support is provided in analogue form, i.e. using a scale. In contrast to the 2-point version, this model has large flip stops and the full length of the workpiece rests on the fence. For example, this is ideal if you work a lot with thin flexible material. The wood to be cut is straightened by the fence and can therefore be cut accurately to size. If you prefer to work with digital exact dimensions, the digital cross-cut fence is the right option: The inner and outer stop work with separate measuring devices and can therefore be set independently with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre. Angle cutting system
The innovative ”RadioCompens” mitre cut system provides fully automatic length compensation for mitre cuts and double mitre cuts by means of a wireless connection between the mitre cross-cut table, controller and digital display of the cross-cut fence. Thanks to this wireless-supported communication of the cross-cut table, controller and stop elements, time-consuming setup times for mitre cuts are reduced by up to 80 %. You simply set the table to the desired angle and the electronic cutting length displays on the cross-cut fence immediately show you the corrected length dimension. In contrast to other systems in the market, "RadioCompens" compensates for a variety of saw blade thicknesses by itself fully automatically. As a result, you always have a precision cut with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre also on the left-hand side of the saw blade - irrespective of the saw blade you are currently using. The system consists of:
    digitalem Längenanschlag
  • Parallelogrammquertisch mit Funkanbindung "RadioConnect" an die Steuerung
  • RadioCompens-Elektronik
  • ParaGlider zur einfachen Reduzierung des Abstandes zwischen Längenanschlag und Sägeblatt

Mitre fence
The analogue fence is characterised by a high setting precision thanks to a large angle scale; the mitres can be cut from both sides.

Support extension
The extension of the table length is executed as a tool and equipment case. You therefore always have tools and smaller accessories readily available directly by the machine.
Toolbox as an extension of the table length
The extension of the table length elongates the machine table to the rear by 1,200 mm with a width of 850 mm. It is supplied instead of the tool tray. It is executed in stainless steel on a steel frame.
Extension of the table length, rear
The table surface is approx. 600 x 350 mm and foldable. The accessory is not available for a sliding table length of 1.9 m.
Front support table, foldable
The "second support" is very useful for processing large boards and serves as a support when working with the mitre fence. The accessory can be used as a simple parallel cutting aid when combined with the "rip fence for sliding table".
Second support
The rip fence is simply attached to the "second support". The accessory permits parallel cuts of up to 800 mm on the sliding table. The "second support" is a prerequisite.
